It doesn’t get too much better then this.
Though you can’t really play the rug as pictured here, confirmed by BoingBoing, this Space Invaders rug by Polish artist Janek Simon is still pretty cool. The work is called Carpet Invaders and is a perfect fit for any high-class collecting retro gamer with money to spend.

This should get interesting…
Reports are coming in from Asia that the Skype protocol has been hacked. If accurate, this means that users can access the Skype VOIP network without using the Skype client – calls could be made through third party software directly to and from Skype users. A Skype-compatible client may be available by the end of July.

Its about time they stopped lying to the public to drum up artificial business. Finally proof that all the news and sensationalism about the Mac viruses was all fabricated BS with no solid claims of anything.
Let’s start with the hot-button issue of Mac OS X viruses. Simply put, at the time of writing this article, there are no file-infecting viruses that can infect Mac OS X

It may be coming. I imagine the response they are getting is a good one. If they could team up with Google to get gmail accounts with an @firefox.com address I think it would really take of. Or who knows, they might make something even better.
What about having something like @firefox.com/co.uk as an email address? that would promote firefox. Think of all the MSN people that could have @firefox.com as their email addresses, it’ll make people ask about firefox, or even google it, and then try it as obviously someone that has @firefox.com has tried it and decided it is really good.

Interesting match up. But who uses either of these services? I don’t know a single person that has MSN or Yahoo and not AIM. However 90% of those I know with IM use AIM. I think they’re a day late and dollar short on this one. I can’t see them doing anything too amazing with the client to get anyone to switch. Those people that want to use both protocols are already using Trillain or Gaim
Yahoo! and Microsoft today will begin limited public beta testing of interoperability between their instant messaging (IM) services that enable users of Windows Live Messenger, the next generation of MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger with Voice to connect with each other.

20 points to Dell of this. It still looks to be in the early stages, but it seems they are going to be providing a nice resource for those that are looking to use their Dell computer to move off Windows and over to Linux.
It’s no secret that Michael Dell is not a fan of the Windows operating system. I think if they weren’t so big they would’ve already switched over to selling pre-loaded Linux systems. I think they’ll be at the forefront of the movement (whatever company is selling those Linspire ones doesn’t count).
Check out the site, it looks like it’ll end up being a pretty nice resource if it catches on.

And you know he’s being optimistic. That 80% is actually more like 30%, which is more like 0%. Lets be honest, it’ll be another 6 years before anyone will see Vista on store shelves.
If you’re a betting man, Microsoft’s Chief Software Architect has some guidance for you on Windows Vista’s as-of-yet undetermined release date. Speaking in Cape Town, South Africa, Gates said that there is an 80 percent chance that Window Vista will be ready for release in January of 2007. Or if you’re a pessimist, you could call it a 20 percent chance that Vista won’t be ready.

This feature should be built in, sadly it’s not. For those of you that don’t want to pony up the cash, here is a work around. A three line apple script.
tell application “QuickTime Player”
present front movie scale screen
end tell
It’s as simple as that. Save it as an application and double click with your movie open.
